Eirik Myhr is a composer and musician, primarily known for his work on Norwegian theatre, film and television productions. WAIT FOR IT... VOL. 1 is his "coming out" EP as a solo artist in the realm of alternative pop. Four songs about fake happiness, awkward non-dates, geek heartbreak and the fascist apocalypse. With lots of piano and strings.
Myhr’s soundtrack highlights include modern stage adaptions of Astrid Lindgren's fantasy masterpieces MIO, MY SON and THE BROTHERS LIONHEART, as well as a more experimental take on Henrik Ibsen with PEER GYNT: UTFOR STUPET. Not to mention the music of TROLLNATT – the annual outdoors musical stageplay steep in Norwegian folklore, set in amusement park Hunderfossen (the "Disneyland" of Norwegian fairytales!).
For his score for the feature film THE TOUGH GUYS, Myhr was awarded the 2013 Music Award by Norwegian composer and lyricist organization NOPA. For his work on BRILLEBJØRN PÅ FERIE in 2019, he was nominated for the Norwegian Kanonprisen Award for Best Film Music.
