Nefta, whose birth name is Nephtaly Ricardo Aparicio Castillo is a singer and music producer.
Born on January 16, 1991 in the province of Chiriquí, Panama City, he discovered his passion for music and cinema at a very young age, learning to play the guitar empirically at the age of 9. At the age of 15 he began to develop his first musical projects under the name of No exit as an urban singer creating his record label Nef Records. At the age of 22, he graduated from a career in digital video production and in 2014 he released his debut song "Con pasion elegancia y locura" with Nature Studios, whose video was featured on several television networks in the country. In 2016-2017 he ventured into the world of cinematography, winning the award for Best Science Fiction Music Producer at the Hayah Festival in the same year.
Throughout his career as a producer he made compositions for Panama Fashion Week, documentaries, short films and national films. At the age of 26, he changed his stage name to Nefta as it is known today, creating new compositions in addition to collaborating as official producer of the singers Jezzy-K and James Courben. His music became known internationally with the launch of his musical project "Glitch" in 2017, gaining popularity on streaming platforms and reaching a position along with his most listened song Blind for Happiness.
