The Poodles is a Swedish hard rock ensemble formed in 2005 in Stockholm. The initial lineup consisted of Jakob Samuel, Pontus Egberg, Christian Lundqvist, and Pontus Norgren. In 2006, the band participated in Melodifestivalen and placed number 4. The group released its debut studio album, Metal Will Stand Tall, in May 2006. The recording featured the single “Night of Passion” and songs written by Holly Knight. In 2007, the ensemble released the album Sweet Trade, which included the songs “Seven Seas” with Peter Stormare and “Streets of Fire”. Henrik Bergqvist replaced Norgren as the guitarist in June 2008. Subsequent studio recordings included Performocracy (2011), Tour de Force (2013), and Devil in the Details (2015). The band performed at the Wacken Open Air festival in 2015.
