Maya Saban, born on 8 October 1978 in Berlin, Germany, is a German singer of Europop and pop music. She began singing in childhood and gained early exposure as the voice of the dance project Music Instructor in the late 1990s, later working as a background vocalist for 3p and contributing to Schiller’s 2003 album Leben. Her breakthrough came in 2005 with the single "Das alles ändert nichts daran" featuring Cosmo Klein, which launched her debut album Mit jedem Ton that reached number 50 on the German charts. In 2007 she released the single "Hautnah," which became the theme for Radio NRW’s Lichtblicke campaign. Saban continued with the 2012 album 5773, part of her Jewdyssee project that blends Yiddish classics with contemporary pop. Throughout her career she has collaborated with artists such as Adel Tawil and participated in the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest as a background vocalist for Lena Meyer‑Landrut.
