My Latest Novel was a Scottish indie rock band from Greenock and Gourock, formed in 2005. The group consisted of Chris Deveney, Gary Deveney, Paul McGeachy, Laura McFarlane, and Ryan King. They released their debut single “Sister Sneaker Sister Soul” in 2005. In 2006, they signed with Bella Union Records and released their debut album Wolves. The band toured the UK and Europe supporting acts such as Arab Strap, Low, British Sea Power, Joanna Newsom, and the Pixies. Their second album, Deaths and Entrances, was released in 2009. In 2010, Laura McFarlane and Paul McGeachy left the band to pursue other projects.
