Farlley Derze has a degree in piano from the Carminha Alonso Conservatory (Rio de Janeiro), a postgraduate degree in Brazilian music, a master's degree in musical education. He is the author of the book RAM - Reharmonization Method with Minor Chords. He has been a professional musician since 1984. He has 5 original albums: Gênesis (2000), Jazz Navidad (2001), Acalanto (2002), Metamorphoses (2017), Music and Emotion (2019). His work as a musician includes participation in shows with various artists: Claudinha Telles, Elza Soares, Joana, Jorge Benjor, Lucinha Lins, Eduardo Dusek, Antenor Bogéa, Elymar Santos, Razão Brasileira, Jorge Aragão, Robertinho de Recife, Dudu Nobre; Rio Jazz Orchestra (RJ); Brasília Popular Orchestra (DF). He toured in Europe (France, Spain, Greece, Cyprus and Germany), Asia (Japan and Bangladesh), North America (United States), South America (Bolivia and Paraguay), Africa (Cape Verde) and throughout Brazil. He is currently part of the Brasilia group MC JAZZ. He is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Letters and Music and occupies chair 46 of Camargo Guarnieri.
