The Trio Lignum was founded in 2016. The two wind players met first in an orchestra project. The interplay worked so well from the beginning that they wanted to continue making music together. After a long search, they found an excellent pianist in Jean-Jacques Schmid, who complements them ideally both musically and personally. Musicality, sensitivity, passion and joy of playing characterise the Trio Lignum. The trio's professionalism is also revealed in it's precise interplay and harmonious and expressive interpretations.
