SAMT

SAMT, an electropop band from Munich, Germany, was founded in 2013 by Jakob Arnu and Philip-Maximilian Maier as Swallow Tailed. The group released their debut EP Warrior in 2014 and won several newcomer awards. In 2015, after a lineup change, they paused activities. Rebranded as SAMT in January 2018, they released the single "Sugar" for the ARD/ZDF web series Hit and Run. The band's debut album, Velvet, was released in 2020, followed by Silk, under Motor Music, and received positive reviews. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, their planned tour was postponed. In July 2023, SAMT celebrated its 10th anniversary with a concert at Munich's Muffatwerk.
