My name is Byson Burt, also known as RedTintedFaith(my artist name). I was born september 30, 2004 so as you know that means I am a libra but I just say that I'm me, no need to identify myself with signs and symbols. I am also a Christian, hence is where I came up with my artist name. I didn't want to call myself "Lil Byson" I mean I'm so tired of all these Lil's in the music industry. So I said because my favorite color is red and I am a Christian but I struggle in my faith I decided to call myself RedTintedFaith. I found music during quarantine June 2020, this was after I attempted suicide and I didn't know what to do, how to live. So really I started writing sonnets and after that I showed one of my friends my work and he said that my sonnets sound like rap lyrics, and I was like really? and he said yes really. So now fastforward, after months of working on my rapping skills I release my first song under the name "Dysfunctional Families" and I used to call myself "God's_Sonneteer" but later I switched to RedTintedFaith. The song is now called "My Disconsolate Mind(interlude) which is on all platforms. Now my goal to make music that heals emotional wounds and pushes others to never give up on their dreams.
When I started rapper it wasn't necessarily because I planned it but because music saved my life. During quarantine I fell into really bad depression and I mean it got bad, I gave up totally, stopped eating from time to time and just wasted away my life until I decided to pick myself back up since I knew no one would do that for me so during June of 2021 I started writing sonnets and I was while still am pretty good but one day I showed a friend one of my sonnets and you know what he said? He said that my sonnet(s) looked like rap lyrics. Its funny when you think about it because I never thought of it like that but after thinking I realized that my friend was right and so I started making rap music and in August of 2021 I created my fist ever song "My Disconsolate Mind(interlude) and now my goal is to change the world with my music for the better(as I mentioned earlier).
I'm also known as "Beats by RedTintedFaith". I not only love making music but I love making beats too and feel that the best way to make it in the music industry is independently. I didn't want to get signed with a record label so I decided to create my own which is called "GreatnessWins Records". I saw this as an opportunity to make something of myself and show that it is possible to make it out as an Musical Artist without being born with the skill or being wealthy(being born into wealth) My goal is to share love with my music and be authentic so I won't be copying off of other Artists. I do everything myself: write my songs, find/ make my beats, mix & master my own songs, and everything.
My childhood wasn't a great one. I'm not saying I grew up in the hood because I didn't but I have went through things most 17 yr olds don't. But I have learned to not become what my environment wants me to be. I learn to put my emotions into my music and control myself so that the ones who look up to me won't make the same mistakes. I live by this quote I made: " Dreams are what you have in your head, once you put forth effort to make your dreams your reality they are no longer dreams." Whatever I am to know, and whatever you think of me I am just someone following his dreams.
