Glazed Baguette (Thehresh Applasamy) is a producer and DJ hailing from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He started off his journey making beats in 2015, inspired by the likes of 9th Wonder, J Dilla, Madlib and other Hip-Hop heavyweights; incorporating sample-heavy chops and raw, unrefined drum loops.
After being discovered by his mentor, engineer, and now label-mate, "NETUNO" in 2016; Thehresh proceeded to compose his own original music from scratch. Going back to his roots with his primary instrument, the electric guitar.
With his trusty Fender Telecaster alongside the psychedelic rock, funk, and blues influences from his childhood, he went on a journey to find his sound as a beat-maker, producer and musician.
Glazed baguette is signed to independent label/collective ABSTRACT NATURE and has worked with Malaysian talents such as Altimet, and Pele L.
His debut release, "Silk/Dirrrt" showcases a gritty and funky soundscape laden with heavy hitting drums, raw bass-lines and fuzz guitars.
