Bisou, new ep out now đź«‚
Miae reinvents the contours of sensitive, embodied French pop. At the crossroads of electronic, rock and introspective song, she weaves a universe where melancholy is danced where melancholy dances and each track traces the path of reconstruction. Behind her crystalline voice and transverse flute, Miae bears a singular signature. Trained at the conservatories in Marseille and Paris, she quickly emancipated herself from classical a personal, vulnerable and powerful body of work. Her first EP, Ombres Heureuses (2023), laid the foundations the foundations for an intimate dialogue between electronic textures, classical sensibility and storytelling intimate.
In 2025, Miae continues her inner odyssey with a second EP, due for release on June 20, a broader, more assertive and raw palette of sounds. Through a trilogy of singles unveiled over the months, she delves into the material of her emotions with a rare accuracy: the bittersweet introspection introspection of Paris-Marseille, the disillusioned energy of Changer la colo', and above all Plus besoin, a pop-rock firebrand and post-breakup declaration of independence.
"J'ai plus besoin de tes yeux pour me sentir belle” - a gentle uppercut, a cry for autonomy.
Miae's influences range from the emotional minimalism of Max Richter, to edgy pop stars like pop stars like Tove Lo and 070 Shake, and the visceral power of Yseult. But it's on stage that she really comes into her own: the Gaîté Lyrique, the Makeda, FGO Barbara, more recently, New York's PinkFrog Café, each live performance is an emotional emotional encounter.
With her sharp pen, magnetic presence and refusal to pretend, Miae is gradually establishing herself. Miae is gradually establishing herself as one of the most touching and audacious voices on the new French scene.
