Louix Cartagena (Jorge L. Cintrón Cartagena) is a singer, writer, actor and producer of modern urban rhythms. Born and raised In Puerto Rico, Louix was Influenced by his barrio and family culture within the music Industry on the municipality of Guayama. Arts, Music and Sports were a key component of his upbringing. He represented Puerto Rico wearing his baseball uniform and was drafted by the Arizona Diamondback as part of a program targeting the development of Big Leagues prospects.
In line with these experiences, Louix Cartagena continued to develop and pursue his talents with music. During his high school years, Louix had his first experience with a Record Label. This experience fueled his passion for music as a singer, writer and producer of music. His biggest mentor during this phase was tropical singer Doming Quinones whom became close to him during this phase of his musical journey while becoming a significant musical influence.
His recent debut with the Pa' La Calle single was widely accepted by the large urban listening base and has become a fresh artistic offer. This single fusions R&B with urban sounds and has marked a new beginning on Louix career. His artist name Is a combination of his natural name
His tribute to the mexican duo Sin Bandera, are a solid representation of this new urban voice of latin R&B, dancehall, reggaeton, trap and other tropical rhythms. It was through the singing of covers that Louix Initiated his contact with his fan base on various places within Puerto Rico.
In line with his actor aspirations, In 2015, Louix Cartagena, had his first experience when he landed a role on the movie "Our Brand Is Crisis", with Its main actress Sandra Bullock as well as In "The Oath", a series produced by 50 cents, where he participated impersonating an FBI Agent.
