Sound ambiance, trumpet, and song. YPU is the meeting between composer, singer, and trumpeter Ayla Gresta and guitarist and music producer Gustavo Halfeld. Destined to work together composing the soundtrack and acting in the film “We Still Have the Deep Black Night”, the sparks of sound and procedural strangeness ignited a partnership that has been burning since 2017. YPU has just released their first album - "paranoar" - delving into the poetic, domestic, political, and emotional experiences lived by the duo. From a tribute to a stray dog that sparked the desire to have a child to identifying colonial systems within their own minds to dancy songs about sexuality and embracing the creative processes through music.
