Born on the 5th of November, 2001. Fortune Sinkala is a young Zambian and Copperbelt-based developing rapper/artiste who goes by the professional and performing alias of "Lil Forty TMM" with "TMM" translating to the "The Main Man". By this, everybody can tell just how much this guy believes in himself and what he can do with what God has gifted him with, which is the art of music. Naturally as a person, Fortune Sinkala is very intellectually expressive with his emotions and thoughts concerning day-to-day life and the many experiences that come with it and he in colossal amounts believes that his messages can help alot of people out there reach greater heights and achieve supremacy just like him and so the art of music is what he has chosen as a means to convey those heart-felt messages to everyone and precisely, he uses rap mixed with that smoothy touch of afroblend and drill.
The Revolution EP was his first major project which was dropped after the completion of high school in 2019 and he dropped it on his birthday, the 5th of November (2020) as a gift to himself , his family, friends and listeners overall. With the EP debuting on the music streaming platform, Audiomack, it helped him cement his tag as a rap artiste. This catapulted him to go on and release an album the following year (2021) with a not-so-odd yet so rich title "Roses" that was centered around, self-love, appreciation and worth and with the album amassing over 4K Audiomack streams, it made him even gain some continental traction from as far Nigeria such that he went on to collaborate with one of their own upcoming rappers by the name of Boiski Blaze. The two blended well and decided to to grace their listeners and the world with a single titled "On My Way" released on the 18th of December, 2021, which was well received and got some reviews from blogsites such as Redpaper, the song undeniably had those afroblend vibes that everybody loves to hear and it brought out the diversity and versatility from both the artistes but received some critics over the use of cuss' words, generally it is a hella dope love song that anyone can vibe to at anytime.
Lil Forty TMM is a very adaptive and versatile rapper and this is clearly evident with just how his projects come up without shredding any of his originality and most of his projects are done in english with some little mixes of vernacular (Bemba and Nyanja). After taking sometime off the studio past the release of "On my way", he came back with fire ignited by the release of the song titled "Ku Bwaice" which in English roughly translates to "during childhood" and the song was purely done in the local dialect, Bemba and as one listens to it, it escorts them on a memory lane back to childhood when they had all those big dreams and when things seemed easy and reminds them that as they reach the ages of reason, they must work harder and smarter to make those dreams a reality overall the song is reminiscent and inspiring.
Lastly but not the least, Lil Forty The Main Man's inspiration to make music mainly stems from K.R.Y.T.I.C, Chisenga, Lj Mojo, Eminem and Nasty C. He's surely cooking something up for the world to listen to and he is one who as a person and as a rapper everybody should look out for because originality to life and the art itself is so rare in this era and he has just that and to any young rappers/artistes reading this, this is the guy that you can make your role model too.
