Junior Kelly, born Keith Morgan on September 23, 1969, in Kingston, Jamaica, is a reggae singer. He began his musical journey with his first recording in 1985 and adopted the stage name Junior Kelly after the passing of his brother DJ Jim Kelly. In the 1990s, Junior Kelly released several singles, including "Go to Hell" (1995), which was banned from Jamaican airwaves due to its political content. His breakthrough came with the 1999 hit "Love So Nice", leading to his debut album Rise recorded in the UK with Mafia & Fluxy. This success caught the attention of VP Records, resulting in the release of Love So Nice (2001), which featured hits like "Boom Draw". Junior Kelly continued to release albums such as Smile (2003), and Tough Life (2005). Following the release of The Good, the Bad and the Blazing with Bounty Killer and Capleton in 2006, Junior Kelly returned in 2010 with Red Pond, referencing his community in Spanish Town. He followed up with Piece of the Pie in 2013 and Urban Poet in 2015. In 2019, the singer celebrated the 25th anniversary of "Love So Nice" by an European tour. He returned seven years after with a new recording, Rasta Should Be Deeper, released in November 2025.
