In search of natural lightness, the Munich ensemble embodies virtuosity and a rich variety of colors, as can only be experienced in the field of chamber music with a woodwind quintet.
The ensemble studies chamber music at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich in the class of Prof. Reto Bieri, regularly performs concerts both nationally and internationally, and is the 1st prize winner of the international competition Ars Ventus BIMC 2019 for woodwind quintet.
In collaboration with a Munich collective of composers and musicians, the Dandelion Quintet curated the concert series ‚Feet become ears’. Within this framework, numerous composition commissions were awarded to young composers, and the premiered works took place in February 2023 at the Center for Interdisciplinary Space and Cultural Work (Zirka) in Munich.
A selection of these works can be found on the ensemble's debut album, titled ‚Windspiel’, set to be released in February 2024 under col legno, a record label based in Vienna.
