DASQ (born October 23, 1989, as Davidescu Andrei) is an esteemed electronic music artist and DJ from Râmnicu Vâlcea, Romania. His journey in music production commenced in 2006, followed by his initiation into DJing one year later. Since 2008, DASQ has consistently performed at both private gatherings and international electronic music events, establishing himself as a versatile and influential figure within the industry.
DASQ is recognized for his distinctive fusion of house and techno, characterized by an energetic yet nostalgic approach that merges old-school elements with contemporary, futuristic soundscapes. A number of his releases and live DJ sets have secured positions in the Top 100 on prominent online music platforms and leading digital music stores. In December 2018, he founded Marl Music, a record label aimed at fostering emerging techno talent, particularly those from the underground music scene.
In February 2021, his track "Infinity," featured on the Rewind EP (released under Marl Music), garnered significant recognition, including airplay on BBC Radio. Additionally, in August 2021, his EP Love Distortion achieved critical acclaim, securing the number 1 spot in the Top 100 Techno (Peak Time/Driving) chart and ranking number 4 in the overall Top 10 Releases.
