Cleômenes Junior is from São Paulo - SP and based in Porto Alegre - RS. He is a saxophonist, flutist, composer and arranger graduated in Popular Music from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. The musician is a highlight of the independent instrumental scene as part of Trabalhos Espaciais Manuais, Instituto Radiola and Lucas Brum Big Band and has performed in some of the main independent music festivals in Brazil. His compositions have several influences, such as jazz, Hip Hop, Reggae, Dub, R&B and Brazilian rhythms. On this 04/14 he released his first solo work, an EP entitled Selva Urbana. The release will be made by the label Escapula Records. The album features four thought-provoking sound tours that start from jazz and incorporate Reggae, Hip Hop, Soul, Samba and Dub, composed and arranged by the flutist and saxophonist, who presents them in a sextet format.
