My name is Tellz IKIMA. i am a rapper, singer and producer: who makes conscious music about my society and the struggles and crises I have witnessed growing up in my community.
Growing up in Jos (Jtown), I would witness my high school seniors rap; but my path to making music began in 2006 when a senior student recruited me into a Christian singing group.
I Started making music in 2006 at high school; but took it professional in 2014, with the release of my first EP titled: "Tellzrific Not Terrific" a 7 track EP. "TELLZRIFIC" is a slang I created for working passionately, working hard and going beyond acceptable limits because: I am a product of failure and extreme hard work.
Between 2015 and 2018, I perfected my craft through performances at open mics, music events and festivals. A new project was in the works but regrettably a second EP couldn't be dropped in 2016 Due to data loss.
In 2019 I worked with famous rapper Payper Corleone and dropped a new EP titled, "The Good The Bad and The Junkie". Unlike my first EP, There was a lot of Features on this new EP, including famous Rapper "Blaqbonez". This 8 track EP, is a look into some dark topics in my community and my own personal desires and struggles. Later THAT YEAR I was featured on an MTV Base Cypher with Famous Rapper Magnito.
2020, I perfected my production and I was featured on popular celebrity’ “Slimcase Rap Show,” which went viral on popular blogs such as, “Tunde Ednut” and gathered over 600,000 views.
I began working on a new project in 2021 and dropped an afrobeats fused with amapiano track titled, “Kini Baale.” The track was greatly loved and European Djs had the clubs going wild with this track.
2022 I was featured on Celebrity Photographer “Amazing Klef’s” activated session for rappers on youtube. It was highly acclaimed and praised as the best session he had ever witnessed. To end the year my frieNDS and I composed and wrote one of the greatest worldcup songs titled, “Yes I Believe” ( a song of hope and unity} and IT just dropped this November 10th
