New album ANTIHEROES is out now!
The Swiss rocker‘s 2022 debut album “Veni Vidi Ignis” was well received by the press and fans alike. On stage, the band shone with their excellent live skills and were highly acclaimed at both club shows and festivals. This made it even more important for the band around mastermind, singer and guitarist Andy Dormann (KISSIN’ BLACK, ex-CHARING CROSS) to present a new D’OR album worthy of the name. To take at least one more step forward!
“Antiheroes” is without a doubt the logical and perfect successor to the debut album, presenting itself with even stronger songs and a fatter, more fitting sound. In addition, the band continues to impressively prove that dirty, loud music is alive and kicking, and that they have a lot of fun embracing and living out every cliché on the big screen, no matter how exaggerated. The fantastic cover artwork by renowned artist Stan W Becker shows the direction. This time it’s not a wild ride towards the Sunset Strip, this time the Sunset Strip is ploughed up. Braking is out of the question, D’OR rocks and rolls relentlessly!
While the debut was a wild mix of ALICE COOPER, SKID ROW and W.A.S.P., “Antiheroes” adds a dash of US metal from ARMORED SAINT and sometimes there seems to be a touch of Teutonic Metal á la ACCEPT. With VELENO - BITTERSWEET another song from the collaboration with KISSIN' BLACK has made it onto the album. Based on the facts that golden throat Andy’s voice has matured and is even more distinctive than on the debut and that the songwriting has also taken a big step forward, D’OR leaves no doubt that their anti-heroes will become the real heroes!
