Real name Sidath Youm, Big Dat X is a rapper born in Thies and founding member of the label Chambre9 Recordz. Holder of a Bachelor's degree in the English department of the Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar, He began to take an interest in Rap in 2012. He participated twice in the Flow Up competition in 2013 and 2015 with the groups "C9 Soldiers” and “Tegal 16” of which Taiji Scin, Rocket, Saliou MultiVoices among others were part. In 2020, he participates solo in this competition (edition #8 of the Flow Up) and is one of the finalists. Since the beginning of his career, he has advocated the "voice of the voiceless", that is to say he tries to serve his community through his art, with committed sounds like "sunu Gaal" released in 2014 which talks about evils of society. He releases a series of freestyles entitled "Actorism" in which he reveals his panoply of lyrical and musical techniques. In addition, the native of Thiés initiated the 48 Hours Marxabane Team, a festival in which he organizes reforestation, set setal, and a concert in Thiés with the aim of raising awareness among the population of Thiés in particular and Senegal in general.
