“French songwriters of the year” award recipients at the Canadian Folk Music Awards for their album debut, LE SOLEIL EN BULLE, and nominated a second time for their following record, LES ÉBRANLEMENTS, Natalie Byrns and Anik Bérubé, of Montreal duo ANCOLIE, craft soul-baring songs to ease the hearts. They share a passion for hopeful lyrics, rich harmonies, and the soothing warmth of acoustic guitar, ukulele, banjo, and mandoline. Their voices in symbiosis, Anik and Natalie sing of hypersensitivity, self-esteem, performance anxiety and other lovely inner torments inherent in our human condition.
