Nogu Svelo!, the legendary Russian-American punk rock band now based in the US, announces the release of a new anti-war song "Waltz of Flying Away Birds" .
The band has just completed the 4th leg of their World Tour - 46 gigs in 45 cities in Europe, Asia, North and South America. During this year the band raised around $100K for Ukraine.

Nogu Svelo! has been performing in Russia, Europe, and the United States for 35 years. Although the primary language of the band is Russian, Nogu Svelo! are excited to offer international audience their English set based both re-produced biggest band’s hits and brand new tunes recorded with the current American musicians.
They’ve had a cult following since 1988 after emerging from the famous Moscow Rock Laboratory, an official organization focused on guiding young and talented musicians in the music industry in the era of Perestroika. Nogu Svelo! has released 15 full-length albums, 68 official music videos, and has won multiple awards in Russia and Europe, including MTV Russia Best Sound Track. The group’s founder Max Pokrovskiy has written title songs for movies and taken part in two seasons of Russia’s version of the worldwide reality show “Survivor.”
The singer, and bass guitarist and the author of all songs Max Pokrovskiy has been an outspoken critic of Putin’s oppression though his songs and interviews since before the war in Ukraine, and has been banned from performing in Russia because of his support for Alexei Navalny. He has released ten anti-war songs since the start of the war, including “We Don’t Need War”, ”Russia, Go Home!”, and “Ukraine”.
In 2023 the band's music video "Prison Romance" and "Happy New Year, My Son" became winners of international festivals such as DOC LA. Los Angeles Documentary Film Festival, Los Angeles Cinematography AWARDS (LACA), Cinema World Fest Awards, NEW YORK STATE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL and many others.
Nogu Svelo! has raised money for World Unite for Ukraine through an online concert, provided support for a refugee shelter in Tbilisi, Georgia, and took part in a GCI Planet Charity Event: Peace, Music and Art Soiree. During the first part of the European Tour the band raised money for 2 ambulances for Ukraine via the charity fund "Zeilen van Vrijheid". Max Pokrovskiy also participated in charity talk show "Island Instinct" in Cyprus and all the money raised during this show went to the purchase of a mobile hospital for Ukraine. During their show in Amsterdam the band rased funds for a children hospice in Ukraine.
In August 2023, the group took part in the first independent anti-war film festival AWIIF, during which the group performed the open air concert for more than 1000 people in Estonia.
