For Ed Wetenhall, brainchild of lo-fi indie rock band 'Ed The Dog', feeling alone in the midst of touring his celebrated debut LP was an unwelcome surprise to say the least. Upon returning to his home studio to begin work on the follow up, Ed noticed that loneliness had begun to creep over almost all aspects of his daily life.
To Ed, these feelings brought about a wave of new writings. Each passing song became deeply personal dive into Ed's day-to-day existence and struggles to understand loneliness in all its guises.
Ed reflects, “Everybody, I Love You is a song about honesty. Total honesty really, and how accepting yourself as you are can have consequences on your relationships.”
The frenzied return follows Ed’s brilliant 2018 debut album ‘Shame’. Bursting onto the indie scene with an armoury of fun, self-deprecating indie bangers. Since the album’s release Ed has secured massive support from BBC Radio 1 where he performed live from Maida Vale for Jack Saunders’ ‘Next Wave’ gig alongside Yungblud and Valeras. He also landed ‘Album of the Week’ and ‘Tune of the Week’ with Huw Stephens, was added to the BBC Introducing Playlist and received support from Annie Mac. Ed’s also been championed by Steve Lamacq on BBC 6 Music and John Kennedy on Radio X.
The bands unrivalled live show has seen them support Circa Waves and Spring King as well perform at The Great Escape, Kendal Calling, Live At Leeds, Hit The North and Glastonbury Festival.
