VALERYAN has been a professional touring artist . She was signed by Decca while still at school using her birth name Valerie Anne Lawrence. In the mid 70s as Valery Ann, she was lead vocalist with the famous UK pop/folk/cabaret band The Settlers. After leaving the band, she toured as an International Cabaret artist until the mid 80s . She then took time out from the music business to bring up her family while writing an extensive catalogue of songs mostly based on real experiences. In 2011 as VALERYAN, she met up with her recording manager from The Settlers days, Peter Goodall, and was persuaded to record her catalogue. Between 2012 and 2017 she and Peter produced and released 5 albums for the Speakeasy label - Rolling Road (2012); White Christmas (2013); Reflections (2014); July 14 (2015) and Groovy Reflections (2017) plus 3 singles, Who Knows Where the Time Goes (2011) Moving Shadows (2012) and As the Nights Draw In (2014). She's still writing, singing, playing synths, producing and recording for anyone who remembers her or is interested in listening. So far she's produced 22 singles, released by One Media - including Perfect Night, At the Dawning, First Christmas Morn and Christmas Letter (2022); Herald of the Morning ;The Kat Song (2019); Summer Frolics; Chasing Rainbows; Traces ; Still Remembering; Let There be PEACE in Our Time (2023) and there are more on the way for 2024
