Creme 21 was a German Schlager music band formed in Frankfurt am Main. The group consisted of Udo Selber, Michael Scheuber, Christoph Schirmer, and Soosoo Sunbeam. Before forming Creme 21, Selber and Scheuber were part of the duo Fab Too under EMI from 1992 until they transitioned to Sony in 1994. Creme 21's debut album Creme 21 was released in 1995. The band gained significant attention with their first singles "Ich mag Tiere" and "Traumfrau". Their cover of Rudi Carrell’s "Wann wird's mal wieder richtig Sommer?", originally "City Of New Orleans" by Steve Goodman, became a chart success in the summer of 1996. This version featured Carrell in the accompanying music video.
The band re-released their first album, titling it Creme 21: 30% mehr later that year, which included a new version of "Traumfrau" and "Liebe in den Neunzigern". Their second album, Zu Gast bei der BBC, was released in 1997. This album featured the BAP cover "Verdammt lang her", along with other notable songs like "Stereo im Radio" and "Ich bleib heut lieber zu Haus". In 1998, Creme 21 supported Pur on their open-air tour, with Matthias Vogt joining as a touring keyboardist. The band disbanded in 1999.
