Rick started out picking bluegrass in his family band, the Faris Family, at 7. His father, Bob Faris, played alongside Reba McEntire on many stages, including the Grand Ole Opry. Rick toured extensively with his family before joining GRAMMY-nominated Special Consensus for over a decade. Rick was given the IBMA "New Artist of the Year" in 2022. In Special Consensus, Faris contributed to their IBMA award wins for Performance of the Year and Album of the Year.
