Cavell is one of a new generation of artists who have rekindled the crossover of Soul and Contemporary R&B music, now more commonly known as 'Neo Soul'.
Cavell has had a Michael Jackson fixation his entire life, but he has a very alternate style in which he has made his own. Cavell is one of the rare breed of working artists that can go into the studio on his own with nothing prepared, and walk out with a few songs in hand. Cavell has the ‘X’ factor - he does it all.
Cavell’s debut EP “Last Summer” is a touching journey through a period in his life when he experienced new love, heartbreak, and the loss of his dear grandmother. With help from another young Producer Matt “MBM” Noble on a few tracks, the pair have created music that will captivate you with chilled out but vibrant beats. When you mix them together with the well thought-out lyrics and beautiful harmonies, you can capture the emotion, pain and understanding of what he’s saying.
“This song reminds me of early Prince” was a quote from an established industry insider to describe Cavell's first single – “I Need You”.
The second single “The Crowd” features MTC label mate “Sid Diamond”.
When asked to describe his music, Cavell says “I just hope to inspire and make beautiful music, that my listeners can keep alive forever”.
