The Belgrade alternative pop group Turbo Trans Turisti (TTT) has released their third studio album, ambitiously and confidently titled “Važan i Veliki” (Important and Great), through the labels Kontra Rights and LAA.
Although this is the third studio release in the band’s history (including the period when they performed under the name Turisti), it represents their most mature material so far—both thematically and production-wise—confirming that Turbo Trans Turisti (TTT) stand firmly on their musical path. The album brings nine songs and an intro, guiding the listener through the complex emotions of the modern world.
The album “Važan i Veliki” was created as a response to the turbulent period that began with the pandemic. In a time without concerts, the musicians stood in front of the mirror, directly confronting themselves and their deepest themes: love, egoism, the loss of faith in happiness, and death.
The world, say Turbo Trans Turisti (TTT), is no longer the same—tectonic changes and wars are unfolding, and the future is uncertain, awakening mixed feelings of hope but also fear.
“Times are evil, but aren’t we the ones who are supposed to make them better? Music is a way to achieve that. We deeply believe that with our music we give a small contribution to a better world. We are all important and great, as long as we walk upright. Do not crawl,” said Boško and Nikola Mijušković of Turbo Trans Turisti (TTT).
