Born Alice Esambe, Alicia Raye, is a multi-faceted Afro-Irish singer-songwriter and rapper who originated from Cameroon and settled in Ireland in 2006. Currently based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, she grew up in a direct provision center near Drogheda, fostering a passion for music inspired by English literature and rap. Her artistic evolution led her into a successful music career and a role as a mentor, nurturing young talents. Additionally, Alicia Raye runs a creative agency empowering artist development, with a focus on female creatives.
In 2020, Alicia Raye's career catapulted as she signed with Trust It Entertainment, a prominent Irish label, solidifying her position in Ireland's Urban music scene. Her debut mixtape, "Alphabet," showcased her artistic versatility, featuring collaborations with 35 Irish artists. 2021 was a standout year, marked by the release of "Nobody 2.0," a track featuring top Irish rappers, accompanied by a visually stunning video premiered on GRM Daily.
