Hau Nguyen, better known by his stage name Hauxenz, is an 18-year-old versatile and gifted independent mixing engineer, producer, artist, and fingerdrummer hailing from Rach Gia, Vietnam. Hau's musical journey began in 2016 when a friend introduced him to a fingerdrumming app that quickly captivated his imagination and fueled his passion for music.
In 2019, Hau's commitment and natural talent paid off when he triumphed in his first fingerdrumming beat contest using the same app that had ignited his interest. This victory awarded him an AKAI MPD218, a cherished device that symbolized the start of an exciting new chapter in his musical odyssey.
Determined to pursue his dreams, Hau set up his own recording studio in 2020. Despite its humble beginnings, his unwavering passion and determination transformed it into one of the premier studios in his hometown. Since 2021, Hau has collaborated with hundreds of artists throughout Vietnam, honing his skills and gaining invaluable experience performing live with his treasured AKAI MPD218.
Hau's discography includes the notable track "Vague Love" featuring GiaHien, and his latest single, "Cô Đơn Làm Ướt Mi Em." These works highlight his ability to blend emotional depth with modern production techniques.
In 2023, Hau made the bold decision to move to Ho Chi Minh City to further pursue his passion for music. Hauxenz loves to explore new genres and sounds from around the world and share them. Embracing a multi-genre approach comes naturally to him, as he believes that while this choice may not reach a vast audience, creating and sharing the music he loves is a fulfilling decision.
In addition to his solo work, Hau is now also the newest member of the band Bột Màu Khoai Tây Cà Rốt (BMKTCR), where he plays the keyboard. As Hau continues to evolve, he is focusing increasingly on music production while maintaining his dedication to creating and collaborating with fellow artists, both established and emerging.
