Elke Kaufmann, known professionally as Allessa, is an Austrian singer born on January 2, 1979, in Graz. She began her musical career in 1998 with the girl group C-Bra, which recorded three tracks that appeared on the Austrian charts. After the group dissolved, Kaufmann joined the pop ensemble Rapublic. The group reached the top ten in Austria with two covers of Italian songs, including the gold-certified single “Ti amo '98”. Following a period working as a DJ in Spain, she returned to Austria to perform with cover bands. Allessa signed with Sony BMG Austria in 2006 and released her debut solo album, Samstag Nacht, in 2007. The recording reached number 42 in Austria. In 2008, she released the single “Der Himmel weint heute Nacht”. Her second studio album, Allessa (2012), reached number 19, followed by Adrenalin (2015), which reached number 20. In 2018, she joined the project Schlagerstars für Kinder and recorded the song “Auf einmal”.
