Kalin Veliov was born in Sofia/Bulgaria, on 18th of June-1973. At the age of 7, he starts his musical education.
Kalin graduates from the National School of Music in 1992, but his education continues at the National Conservatory, where he studies classical music.
From 1992 to 1998, Kalin records and performs with some of the most popular projects and artists in Bulgaria.
In 1999, Kalin moves to Holland to begin his studying in the Latin Department of the Rotterdam Conservatory with some of the best Latin drummers/percussionists & teachers in the EU.
From 2000 to 2005 Kalin performs and records with many Dutch-based DJs and international projects: ELECTROCOCO, ADANI & WOLF, PROJECT 2000, LA RITMICA, SIEMBRA, GERARDO ROSALES.
Back in Bulgaria, 2006 Kalin produced, composed and sang a duet album with popular Bulgarian star singer Nina Nikolina.
2007 Kalin forms the first Bulgarian salsa band TUMBAITO, later 2013 to release its CD, produced from Kalin.
Since then, the band has numerous concerts in the EU with world-famous Latin artists such as Jimmy Bosch, Herman Olivera, Frankie Morales.
Back in 2011 Kalin releases his first solo pop album, called “2 Faces”.
In 2014 Kalin started his new international project called Amazonia, which combines Latin and Afro music and dance. Amazonia includes the Brazilian singer Julia Martins and dancers from Brazil, Nigeria, Argentina, Angola and Haiti. Currently, the project is about to release its 4th single “Bez Teb ne Moga”.
