Hope seemed slim as the family of Jeremiah Bell rushed him back to the Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, VA, shortly after his birth in April 2000. Suffering a severe fever that almost ended his life, his family did what they knew best and began praying to the Lord. The Lord heard and answered their cry, and they went home 3 days later, praising God with Jeremiah in their arms.
After being dedicated to the Lord at his father’s church and accepting Jesus as his Savior at the age of 4, it was clear that God had miraculous plans for his life.
Discovering his love for Christian Rap in his pre-teens through his older brother’s CDs that spanned the likes of Lecrae, KB, and Trip Lee, he began writing and recording music at 13. Building his name on the foundation of his faith, the crucifixion, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ, Jeremiah shortened his first name to Jay and his last name to Bizzze with three z’s in the middle to symbolize how everyone slept on Jesus when His body lay dead in the grave for 3 days. But rising on the third day, Jesus conquered death, and this truth is the cornerstone of his music.
Jay’s love for God’s Word, His Kingdom, and His righteousness fuels his desire for this generation to know and have a thriving relationship with Jesus. He shares his struggles, successes, and sage wisdom for the edification and encouragement of his fans he calls family.
On his debut album, YOUNG SAMSON (Deluxe), Jay Bizzze shares how to defeat pride, lust, and temptation.
