French-Congolese singer and rapper Theodora was born in Lucerne, Switzerland, on October 23, 2003. Her real name is Lili Théodora Mbangayo Mujinga, and she grew up with her brother, producer Jeez Suave. After several stops between Congo, Switzerland and Greece, Theodora's family settled in France in 2008, in Saint-Denis, where she obtained French nationality. She followed in her brother's footsteps, already established as a composer, producer and manager, and in 2021 released her first EP, Neptune, which went unnoticed. She made a name for herself in 2023 with the diptych of two EPs, Lili aux Paradis Artificiels and Lili aux Paradis Artificiels : Tome 2, which earned her a nomination for the Flammes de la musique in the female revelation category. After the singles "Daddy chocolat" (2022) and "Le Paradis se trouve dans le 93" (2023), "Kongolese sous BBL" becomes a viral hit on listening platforms, and marks Theodora's entry into the SNEP chart at number 35. The track, with its Caribbean bouyon feel and rap flow, became Theodora's signature track, and she continued her rhythmic mixes with the album Bad Boy Lovestory (2024), which reached number 119 in the French charts. May 2025 saw the release of her first mixtape, MEGA BBL, featuring contributions from Juliette Armanet, Jul and Chilly Gonzales, which went on to win a gold disc. Voted female revelation of the year at the Flammes ceremony, Theodora fills the Paris Zénith four times and sings on Disiz's "Melodrama ", which reaches No. 1. Theodora is the second most-listened-to French-speaking female artist in the country after Aya Nakamura, and took part in seasons 4 and 5 of the rap series Nouvelle École.
