PIPIA (Federico Pipia), born in 1996, lives in Bologna, where he studied Electronic Music and Sound Design. He deals with composition, performance, and improvisation in different musical contexts (dance and experimental electronics, instrumental music, electroacoustics, avant-garde), interested in the contamination between different genres and instruments in the development of a changing musical discourse. He plays electric guitar and bass, computers, live electronics, and synthesizers. He has several projects to his credit: the electroacoustic improvisation collective Minus (Sintagmi - 2019, Round - 2020, Casabase - 2021), the instrumental and electronic quartet Blackcap (Pigeons - 2020), the live techno solo Yamane (upcoming album, 2021), the musical show Astolfo 13 (Winner of Dubito Prize 2019), as well as composing music for cinema and theater.
