DJ DR JAY, DJ and music producer started as a DJ in 1999 in the extinct rap group “CRONISTAS DAS RUAS” where he performed in several places in greater São Paulo, among them the extinct Casa de Detenção Carandiru (children's day event). ) alongside groups such as Detentos do Rap, Comunidade Carcerária, among others.
In 2002 he participated in the world forum in Porto Alegre (TROCANDO IDÉA) where big names in the Hip Hop movement from different countries participated.
In the group CRONISTAS DAS RUAS, he stayed until 2004, the same year he started on the scene as a music producer, inaugurating his own studio (DR JAY PRODUÇÕES), thus receiving the invitation to produce the CD and become the official DJ from the group 2.HO (Organized Hip Hop) where they shared the stage with several names from the music scene (Hip Hop), among them, Rappin Hoop, Racionais MC's, RZO, Faction Central, DBS and the Quadrilha, A Família, among others, No In the same year, together with dj Neto, he also started the Djs School at the OCCA (Clean Field).
In 2005, he released the song "Revolução" with his then-group 2.H.O, with the participation of Gato Preto ("A FAMÍLIA"), where the song was played on 105 FM radio on the Rap Du Bom (Rappin Hoop) program.
In the same year 2005 he was invited by Costa Alves and WilsoPsico to join the parallel project MPC (Contínua Musical Progression) as a dj, being an alternative rap group on the scene, in 2005 he also ministered the Djs school at PROJETO ARRASTÃO (Campo Clean) where he stayed until 2006. During this period DJ DR JAY continued to perform with their respective groups (MPC and 2.HO) in various places in São Paulo and it was during this period that he had the privilege of knowing and working in some productions by Daniel Sancy (Inmates of Rap), where he also had a short stint as a DJ.
In 2007, he received the invitation to teach the Djs School at the NGO FXB (Garden Paris) where together with Dj Soneka (Soundtrack of the Ghetto) he stayed until 2008 thus training several DJs.
In 2009 he was invited to participate in the MIXTAPE “NUNCA SÓ”, Mixtape launched by DJ GUSTA (Piracicaba), where he had the participation of several groups from various states, including the participation of the SNJ group at the launch party (Piracicaba).
As a music producer in the same year (2009), he was invited to participate in a compilation entitled “CAIXA MÁGICA BEATZ”, a compilation with the participation of producers from all over the world, where DJ DR JAY represented Brazil, the album was released first in Portugal and then in Angola having a good public acceptance. During this whole period he came working, DJing, producing and recording several groups in the music scene until in 2012 he was already disconnected from the groups he was in, and he was invited to be the official DJ of the U-CLÃN group where he is today, where he already released a record titled “A Todo Vapor” (2012), an online Mixtape titled “SP CAPITAL” in 2016 that is available for download on our YouTube channel, And the second album titled “Vivo Pra Cantar, Canto Pra Viver” was released in November 2017 with several participations including:
Nego Jam (Rzo), Cris (Snj), Gaspar (Z'África Brasil), Lino Krizz, Max B.O, Zyell Brown among others.
DJ DR JAY has already played several shows with his group "U-CLÃN" in greater São Paulo, such as TV Globo's project SP460 at Ibirapuera Park, participated in the closing of Hip hop Week 2014, 2015, 2016, Lollapalooza 2014, Rap na Praça, Hip-Hop Evolution , Capão Redondo 103 years anniversary, Hip-Hop Month 2014, 2015, 2016, Soundtrack of Gueto Invites (Meeting of VL), 100% Favela 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, Battle of the Factories with Crônica Mendes 2017, 2018 among other diverse locations.
Currently DJ DR JAY continues with several works in his Studio, "Studio DR JAY Produções" launching several groups and CDs in the market and DJing in several places in São Paulo.
