Kuiyu is a multi-dimensional creative intersecting the world of sound and visual art. His songwriting is grounded on storytelling and emotion design, with revelatory lyrics that peep into the human condition. ‘Vulnerability’ is a strong bias in his work as he spotlights the 'otherly' elements of the African existence. Shedding light on the things that matter most to him, (past, present and future) and the evolving hues of Nairobi - his hometown; his work explores romanticism, identity and orientations, spirituality and the emancipation of the African mind.
As a teacher & healer, 'Kuiyu' describes himself as ‘peace becoming’. Currently "decrypting the art of surviving in a world that’s dying - Applying ancestral methods to understand time, diseases and liberation... Kuiyu’s art draws from multiple influences without leaning on one in particular.
