Marley Pitch is a multi-genre artist born in Atlanta Georgia but has spent most of his life in a few cities within North Carolina. Pitch relies heavily on vivid storytelling using surgical wordplay and pop-feeling melodies to share his views on the highs and lows of the human condition. He wants to stand for something and you can hear that so blatantly in records like “Metallic”. All while still finding the tempos to move the limbs and bodies of all ages. He began songwriting at the age of eleven while simultaneously honing his skills in digital graphic arts while going through multiple aliases along the way until landing on his middle name.
Marley was born from a Ghanaian mother and Zimbabwean, Zambian, and South African father. Spend enough time in his discography and you will hear a true student of the world. Since Marley's stand-out single “Habits” in 2017, he has been refining his sound. Some of that fine-tuning paid off with Pitch's first feature in 2018 with Bandcamp which highlighted his Greensboro origins and influences like Frank Ocean. That same year he had a demo at the time titled "Baby Boy" spun on Pitchfork Radio by Elia Einhorn at SXSW 2018 and the following year had his single "Big Dweeb" on NTS Radio played by said song's producer, Lecx Stacy. Marley hasn't had the kind of trajectory you see so often these days. He's had to feel every notch of the ride and it may be his biggest advantage.
