Serge Nikol is a Toronto based guitarist, vocalist, composer.
He grew up with the wide variety of music his father taped off the radio. It could start with Ray Charles, segue into mariachi and ethnic music and end with The Beatles. At the age of six, his father bought him a guitar.
Born in Podgorica, Montenegro, Serge moved to Toronto, Canada in 1996 where he performed in local rock and R&B bands then became interested in the Brazilian music of Tom Jobim, Joao Gilberto and others. This led to a regular engagement at Copacabana Brazilian Steakhouse in Toronto where Serge performed accompanied by bassist Etric Lyons.
Serge sings in Portuguese, Spanish, French, Italian, English, Russian, Serbian, Albanian, Arabic, Farsi, Urdu, Turkish and Greek.
