La de Las Cumbiecitas Elegantes
Diana Burco is a Colombian singer-songwriter and accordion player born in Bucaramanga. She has broken barriers positioning herself as a pioneer of the accordion in Colombia. Her stage presence, virtuosity and commitment to the country's musical roots have not only elevated the role of the instrument in new sound fusions, but have also opened paths for other women in music. Diana not only plays the accordion: she reinvents it through her songs and feminine identity, creating a language of her own that has established her as one of the most important contemporary and innovative Latin American artists on the rise.
Her 3 musical productions: “Diana Burco”, “Río Abajo” and “Karma” have received Latin Grammy nominations and in 2024 she won her first Grammy with the Colombian label CODISCOS.
In May 2025 she will release her fourth musical production: “La De Las Cumbiecitas Elegantes”. This will be an album of only collaborations with the participation of different Latin American artists such as Milena Wharton (Peru), Miss Bolivia (Argentina) among others and in which she discovers her own vision of La Cumbia.
