Biography
Born in Nashville, Tennessee on November 3, 20002, Stephen Sanchez is a singer, songwriter, and social media star best known for his hit single “Until I Found You.” He became interested in music at a young age and by the time he was in his teens, he was posting songs on social media. In June 2022, his cover of Cage the Elephant’s “Cigarette Daydreams” became a viral sensation, and he began to attract more attention. After posting several more covers and original material, he was contacted by singer / songwriter Jeremy Zucker, who was impressed by the song “Lady by the Sea” and wanted to produce a studio version for him. While the single was not a commercial success, it caught the attention of Republic Records, who signed him to the label. Stephen Sanchez’s next single, “Kayla,” was followed by the 2021 EP What Was, Not Now. Continuing to build a following via social media, he finally achieved commercial success with the release of his 2022 single “Until I Found You,” which was an international hit. While the single reached Number 92 on Billboard’s Hot 100, it fared better outside the US and reached Number 1 in Malaysia, Number 5 in the Philippines, and Number 11 in New Zealand. “Until I Found You” also charted in Australia, Canada, Vietnam, and the UK. Stephen Sanchez recorded several versions of the song including a collaboration with fellow social media star Em Beihold. In July 2022, he collaborated with singer / songwriter Gatlin on her single “2000 Miles.”
