British singer-songwriter Maisie Peters was born May 28, 2000 in
Brighton. She wrote her first song at the age of 9 and then went on to
cultivate a large online following through her video streaming channel. Her
loyal fan base contributed a great deal to the popularity of her 2017 debut
single, the folksy “Place We Were Made,” which quickly went viral and amassed
millions of streams across different platforms. The piano-driven ballad “Birthday” came out that same year and helped her land a recording
contract with Atlantic Records UK, who released the glossy pop reverie “Worst of You” in 2018. Dressed Too Nice for a Jacket, her first EP, also saw the light in 2018 and was followed
by a second EP titled It's Your Bed Babe, It's Your Funeral the following year. In 2020, her standalone single “Smile” was featured on the original soundtrack of the film Birds of Prey as she toured Europe opening for Niall Horan. Maisie
Peters continued refining her radio-friendly brand of pop music with 2021’s “John Hughes Movie,” a single that became her first charting
release, reaching Number 92 on the UK Singles Chart. Her debut LP, 2021’s
You Signed Up for This, was released later that year and hit number 2 on
the UK Album chart.
