A unique talent that possesses vocals, dance moves and a loveable personality are called triple threats and only come once every decade and that’s what makes Killer Kau South Africa’s dance music dominator. He became a household name in 2017 after posting a video of himself singing over a house beat which caught the attention of DJ Euphonik who quickly took him to the studio to record “Tholukuthi” which became Killer’s first hit song.
The next year led him to take a break from the music scene to focus on his matric studies of which he passed with a bachelors. 2019 became his comeback year when he earned his second hit “Kokota Piano” alongside Kaygee and Bizizi. He later co-foundered Soweto Music and Entertaining Academy and through this platform, he released ‘After School’ a 5-track EP featuring Amapiano and Gqom smash hits.
The year 2020 holds a lot for Killer Kau. In June he released a 5 track collaboration EP with 9 year old dance enthusiast Retha titled ‘Tom and Jerry’, with hit single Uyababa featuring DJ Stylagang as the main attraction to their colorful joint venture. He followed up with another EP called ‘Game Changer’ in July, which dropped on his birthday as a gift from the label. The 6-track adventure features new Amapiano heavyweights like Focalistic, Kammu Dee, Mark Khoza and fellow SMEA artists G-Snap and Dj Stylagang.
Ever since then he’s been busy touring high schools and big venues throughout the country making appearances in events such as Mr X’s All black experience, Shekhina’s Rose Fest and international music festival Rocking the Daisies. With more major shows and potential hits lined up Killer is set to continue being a powerhouse in the South African music industry and beyond.
