Kyle Alessandro was ten years old when he appeared on Norwegian television's Norske Talenter. Born Kyle Alessandro Helgesen Villalobos in Levanger, Norway, on March 10, 2006, the young up-and-comer made a name for himself without winning the competition. He nevertheless launched his musical career with the single "Din Sang", followed by the eight-track mini-album Første Kapitell, released in 2017. Of Spanish origin on his father's side and Norwegian on his mother's, the singer released a second, more mature album, Evig & Alltid (2023), five years later, and collaborated on the song "Geronimo" by the group Umami Tsunami. After a first attempt at the Melodi Grand Prix 2023 selections with this track, Alessandro tried his luck again two years later with "Lighter", a reggaeton-tinged dance pop track produced by Adam Woods. This time it was the right one, as he won the contest and reached the final of the Eurovision Song Contest, to be held in Basel between May 13 and 17, 2025.
