I Chrysalis nascono a Torino (Italia) nel 1993 dalle ceneri dei Soulless, sviluppando un sound che deve molto alle band techno death metal della Florida degli anni '90 come Atheist, Pestilence e Death, nel corso degli anni il sound si appesantisce e si arricchisce di sfaccettature diventando più maturo e uniforme, dopo il promo Abduction del 1996 che vede la band produrre due brani di rottura in cui si sentono venature jazz e psichedeliche, la band si chiude in studio pronta a sfornare il suo primo full length ( D.eforming N.eural A.ggression), che però non vedrà mai la luce perché la band si scioglie definitivamente nel 2001.
Ora, 23 anni dopo, i Chrysalis, grazie alla distribuzione digitale, possono offrire il loro lavoro senza che vada perduto.
Chrysalis was born in Turin (Italy) in 1993 from the ashes of Soulless, developing a sound that owes much to the techno death metal bands of Florida in the 90s as Atheist, Pestilence and Death, over the years the sound becomes heavier and richer in facets becoming more mature and uniform, after the promo Abduction in 1996 which saw the band produce two tracks of breakthrough where you can hear jazz and psychedelic veins, the band closes in the studio ready to churn out its first full length ( D.eforming N.eural A.ggression), which, however, never saw the light of day as the band finally disbanded in 2001.
Now, 23 years later, Chrysalis, thanks to digital distribution, can offer their work without it being lost.
