Aimo Brookmann, known professionally as Taichi, was born on January 29, 1984, in Montpellier. He is a German rapper who grew up in Berlin's Zehlendorf district, where he developed an early love for rap music. Taichi began his musical career with the mixtape Schwerer Shit, released in 2003 alongside Michael Mic under his own label, mein Label. His first solo album, Legende von Morgen, was released in 2004 by Krasscore Records. Subsequent albums include Schnell Imbiz (2005) and Top Story (2006), the latter produced with Djorkaeff & Yanek. In 2008, Taichi released several notable works, including Aussenseiter, Therapie, and the single "Endgültig", which peaked at number 3 on MTV TRL Urban Charts. He also founded vidsum.com in 2013, a YouTube Multi-Channel Network focused on music.
