Guiven aka Juicy's Empire is a Haitian producer who arrived in France more than 19 years ago. Passionate about music since he was young, having grown up with Latin, jazz and especially reggae rhythms, it's in his teens that he fell in love with vinyls, rap and mixing, setting himself the goal of becoming a DJ.
Arrived in France in 2004 after having mixed in Dominican Republic, he launches 5 years later in the organization of reggae parties in Paris. Accompanied by guests from all over the world, he mixes and orchestrates his own parties in big Parisian clubs such as the Red Light or the Nouveau Casino through the 130 club, rue de Rivoli. Until 2016, it is thus at a rate of 2 Jamaican evenings per week that Juicy makes vibrate the capital.
At the origin of the first Carnival of the Dominican Republic in Paris, Juicy's Empire devotes himself entirely to the creation of his own event and artistic company, collaborating with numerous French and Jamaican artists in order to bring back to Paris a wave of reggae as hype as modern.
Now embodying the face of modern reggae, Juicy's Empire has set up his own label to pass on the basics of reggae to a new generation in perpetual evolution. Fusion music, hybrid between live and digital, "From Jamaica to Paris" invites in turn the figures of the new reggae scene crossed during his career.
