Akira Da Rapwolf is a South Asian Based Tamil Rapper.
I was really good at learning languages (Tamil, English & Sinhala). So, the first rap song I ever heard was 2pac’s California Love Didn’t understand a word but really liked that music style that was new felt real for me.
Slowly I started listening more rap songs form 80s to that time which is around 2000s I was inspired by Eminem, 2Pac, Jay-z, NAS, KRS-One, LL Cool J, Ice Cube, Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar, J Cole. Until 2005 I wasn’t even thinking of rapping the day I saw my school seniors did a rap song named “Day to night” By Hip lez Hop Crew I started writing raps it wasn’t that great initially I improved myself with a heavy practice. Even though I learned how to rap I couldn’t do song because I didn’t have the money to go to a a beat maker or a music producer so slowly I started producing beats so with the time pass by I stared producing for my friends too.
One day I went to meet Saranga dinesh at a studio in Bambalapitiya for a recording I got to know him through Facebook And accidently I met my favorite Tamil rapper Krishan Maheson who popularized Tamil Hip Hop in Sri Lanka. I didn’t know that was his studio that I went to record my song. It Was A Big turning in my life Krishan Helped me to be a better version of me in music he let me hang around the studio and learn from there I learned how to mix and produce songs single handedly because of Saranga Dinesh and Krishan Maheson I Learned a lot and become a better me to be truthful.
