SBB, a Polish progressive rock band, was formed in 1971 in Siemianowice, Upper Silesia. The group initially served as Czesław Niemen's backing band from 1971 until late 1973, performing at notable events such as the Rock & Jazz Now! opening show for the Olympic Games in Munich. The band toured extensively across Europe and won the OIRT award - the Gouden Zeezwaluw in Belgium in 1978. SBB disbanded in 1980 but reunited briefly in 1991, 1993, 1998, and finally in 2000, touring the United States, Russia, and Mexico. Notable albums from their later years include Nastroje and New Century.
